This is Jo, bringing Mr. Hyperion Human Mess (AKA Rhys) to the party.

Meet Rhys. This adorable ball of fail is a Hyperion middle manager, aiming to climb the ranks and make a name for himself just like his idol, Handsome Jack! Or... he was a middle manager for Hyperion before he stole a lot of money, screwed up a business deal that happened to be a set-up, and went rogue all to screw over his nemesis for ruining his career. It's... complicated.

Meet the voice in his head, Handsome Jack! Or, rather, an artificial intelligence programmed by a creep obsessed with Handsome Jack that is now living in Rhys' brain because of reasons. It's... also complicated.

You know what isn't complicated?

No, seriously, I'm asking. Because I sure as hell don't know, right now.

Aaaaaanywhooooo. I'm bringing this adorable ball of fail with his murderous brain hitch-hiker to you at a very interesting point in his life. He has fabulously failed and gotten himself into a bit of a mess. Again. It... happens a lot. And he's taken quite a tumble that's left him light's out, so to speak. Right, so, there's this little catch. AI Jack, here, can control Rhys' cybernetic arm and upgrade the software of his tech. No one else can see or hear Jack but Rhys, which leaves for some amusing one-sided banter in the eyes of onlookers. But yes, the catch: When Rhys is knocked unconscious, Jack is able to take over.

So, who wants to punch him in the face to get Rhys back in the drivers seat?

Player of Beth here, bringing in a second character. Primrose is from The Hunger Games, and will be coming in mid-Mockingjay. She's only thirteen but is a skilled medic/nurse, and grew up being trained by her mother to heal people using natural remedies so she will most definitely want to step up and try and make a clinic here. She's used to surviving in a harsh environment, but will be thinking the zombies are mutts and this is a Capitol mind game at first so she might need some help realizing it isn't.

Hiya, Project Oasis! My name is Nao. And I'm sure it goes without saying, but I'm new to game. Anyway, this here kid is Carl Grimes from The Walking Dead. He's one of the few surviving kids so far in his series so I'm sure he'll fit in greatly. And like most of the rest of his canonmates here, he's from the end of season 5, where they have nice things again in a community called Alexandria, so he'll definitely be surprised waking up here.

The proofs are as follows:

One

If you fail to meet activity check for whatever reason, you will be required to meet double activity the next month. Meaning any two of the previous conditions in whatever mismatched order you prefer. Failure to meet activity check on double activity will result in removal from the game.

If you have taken a hiatus of two weeks or better will be exempt from activity check. The Hiatus page will be checked upon finalising AC to ensure those on the hiatus list will not end up on the strike list. It is very important for you to check in, even if you failed to meet AC.

Players that do not check in or post activity will automatically be added to the strike list for that month.
All proofs must lie between the dates of the period otherwise they will be rejected.
When submitting a proof of comments, only one link is allowed, not multiples that add up.
Characters accepted within two weeks prior of activity check do not need to post activity for that month but are required to check in.
If there are certain reasons you cannot complete AC contact a mod and it will be discussed.
Characters swept from the game are welcome to be reapped.

Hello everyone! My name is Mako and I'm brand new. For those of you who don't know, I'm going to be playing Leia here, but from the EU/Legends canon, about 2.5 years post-RotJ from the end of a book called "The Courtship of Princess Leia". It's a horrible book. If you haven't read it, please don't torture yourself over it. It just wraps up some stuff from the very excellent X-Wing book series and sees Leia and Han finally married.

Mod Announcement

Our first event will go up tomorrow morning (Monday) on which you will have several options as to how your character deal with the threat. There is no right or wrong answer, so use your imagination. How you choose to act doesn't change the fact that it's a two tier invasion, the first of which will last three days, the second will continue to be a problem until the paths are blocked off/closed. Feel free to submit questions about the event here when it goes up. There is no definite number of invaders, so use your imagination. They're just human, so they die like humans. You don't need permission to kill invaders and they're controlled by you in your threads.

Secondly, I will put up a note about the weather on the main comm with a link in the nav soon. (Mod B works overnights and sleeps during the day, so bear with her, please.) But for now, just know it will rain for the entire month of March and into April. I will also set up a Permissions page for everyone to link their permissions to, so that people don't have to hunt through the OOC comm to find them. That should make it easier for everyone.

We're working to tailor the game to the speed of the players, so we ask that you have patience for now.

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize for the lack of tags and how slow Steve has been. I was on vacation until this past Wednesday and then I promptly came down with the plague. Sorry for the lack of responses to the CR meme and open logs. He's here he wants to play, I just can't focus long enough for most things. Just bear with me!

I'm hoping to be able to post consistently again soon but I'm not sure how long it'll be before I can properly use said hand to type.

With Han's main priority being "get a ship; get off this rock," he's hoping to get the comms system on the dropship up and running. Unfortunately for him, he won't get in contact with anyone he wants to. Fortunately ( maybe ), they'll be able to get in touch with the Station orbiting the planet once it's done.

What does this mean?
With a functional comms system, characters will be able to contact the Station for information, requests, etc. Moreover, they will then gain the opportunity to access a more developed network, including video and text depending on subsequent character actions.

How is this going to happen?
That’s up to everyone! While the communications system in the ship can be salvaged, it’s not yet anywhere near functional. It will take a lot of repair. Moreover, some pieces were fused together when the systems overloaded. These can only be replaced once the second dropship arrives next month, and its parts stripped and repurposed.

Han, much as he'd like to do like his last name and work alone, can't. Otherwise this might take forever. So those characters with any experience working with mechanics and technology, your help will be invaluable.

My character can't be trusted to build anything, but I want to help.
Awesome because we need them. There are a few ways to get involved. Parts will need to be scavenged from both the dropship characters first arrived in and the next to fall. Scavengers can be anyone; they'll be told what to look for.

As this will require heading to the dropship ( and most likely several trips ), guards are of the utmost importance, particularly during their return when they'll likely be weighed down with parts. Those zombies, man.

My character thinks this is a terrible idea.
And they'll have a chance to make it known! Han will be making an IC announcement in a few days. Characters are free to chime in with suggestions, ideas and all the ways this can go so, so wrong.

This plot is open to however characters would choose to participate. Timeline-wise, barring future complications, it'll take at least a month and a few weeks to get the comms up. Feel free to use this post to ask questions, toss suggestions or make plans!

Okay, so hi, I'm gonna do this and hopefully break the ice, like a bloody polar bear. I'm Steph 2.0! And other than being a mod here (ha ha please don't judge me I'm trying my hardest here ok.) I'm bringing in Newt from The Maze Runner. The films, not the books, which is important!!!

Anyway, what you need to know about Newt is he's the nicer of the Gladers (currently only Thomas is here as well ((Thomas is kind of a snide bitch, ignore him).) and he's got a bit of a limp, which he's had for a while, do not try to baby him for it or he will probably try to smack you with a spade or let Tommy be a snide bitch at you and pretend not to notice. He's also British, and aside from English slang, he also uses Glader Slang, here is a helpful guide that Jen made for you guys, so you can understand these strange boys. He's pretty serious, especially now that he's kinda been through the shitty apocalypse in his world, but he's got a good sense of humour as well. Be warned: if you're young, or look young, he will try to mom you, it is just what he does, don't fight it, it only encourages sneaky momming.

The Maze Runner is a movie about a bunch of boys that get shoved into a shitty situation because the world is basically ending because of shitty stuff and they're all kinda really fucked up, and yeah, he's been through a lot of life or death situations - don't underestimate him because he's young looking.
